On the last December 25th, Christmas Day, we have got a comment by Mr. John C:

We can’t be sure we are reading the proper meaning, sorry! We are supposing the first one is your thought about the present web side, while the second is a Mr. Eric Sevareid thinking. Isn’t it?
Looking for Mr. Eric Sevareid we have read he was a famous journalist who died in 1992 for a stomach cancer. Well, now we know something about him and you have made us curious in reading one of his books… he was journalist in Europe first of the Second World War, then in the Burmese Jungles not far from Japanese Forces. After the War he was pioneer of a new broadcasting journalism, introducing analysis and opinions in a Radio program –as for the Encyclopaedia Britannica web site- wow!
In any case we would like to explain some pillars of our work for the present web site. We don’t love to build opinions in an idealistic way (as when we are rooting for the Blackhawks or the Fliers or the Canadiens…), we are not going to hate fossil fuels as 100% negative and to support environmental issues plain and simple as they were an Hockey Team. Combustion for energy has been life for peoples from a long time, pushing for civilization and culture, and for science too; plus, to get schools and laboratories and work and a best living way…
During the last times many negativities and serious problems have arose in fossil fuels, especially for the air pollution and more heat in the Atmosphere, for vital habitat at the end. We would like to describe the pillars of technical and scientific contents for the present energy use; and how the use interferes with environment. For now we are working in a first step of the project, it’s concerning the appropriate knowledge for the phenomena about energy and the air and the Earth’s atmosphere and the climate; during a second step we would like to address the issue for how it need we act to don’t interfere so much with environment.
Observing from outdoor the international Congresses for the Earth conditions, from Rio de Janeiro in 1992 to Bonn 2017, we can put the look on the difficulties to try environmental solutions good for everyone… too many individual interests in the World are creating long discussions and few important results… the 2015 Agreement in Paris, yes, but not great operative projects for now. So we are trying a local way, a sort of experiment, hoping many other persons will in other lands and regions: supporting with phenomena knowledge the peoples’ intent to do something of concrete to save our habitat on Earth.

Non siamo certi di aver compreso il giusto significato. Pensiamo che il primo paragrafo sia un Suo giudizio su questo lavoro in Rete, mentre il secondo è un concetto espresso dal Signor Eric Sevareid. È così?
Cercando chi fosse Eric Sevareid abbiamo letto che era un noto giornalista deceduto nel 1992 per un cancro allo stomaco. Bene, ora sappiamo qualcosa su di lui e siamo curiosi di leggere qualche suo libro… era giornalista prima della Seconda Guerra mondiale, poi nella jungla burmese non lontano dalle truppe giapponesi. Dopo la guerra fu pioniere di un nuovo giornalismo radiofonico, introducendo l’analisi e le opinioni in un programma alla Radio -come scrive l’Enciclopedia Britannica- caspita!
Detto questo ci piacerebbe spiegare quali siano i capisaldi del nostro lavoro qui nel web. Non ci piace costruire opinioni idealisticamente (come quando facciamo il tifo per i Blackhawks o per i Fliers o per i Canadiens…), non mostriamo di odiare i combustibili fossili come fossero totalmente negativi, e non vogliamo supportare le questioni ambientali semplicemente come incitare una squadra di Hockey. La Combustione per ricavare Energia è stata vita per le persone da molto tempo ed ha permesso civilizzazione e cultura (in senso ampio, antropologico possiamo anche dire), anche lo sviluppo scientifico; inoltre ci ha permesso scuole e laboratori e lavoro ed una vita migliore…
Ma negli ultimi tempi molte negatività e seri problemi sono sorti dai combustibili fossili, specialmente per l’inquinamento dell’aria ed il maggior calore intrappolato nell’Atmosfera terrestre, infine per l’ambiente vitale. Vorremmo evidenziare i veri contenuti tecnici e scientifici dell’attuale utilizzo di energia, e come questo utilizzo interferisce con l’ambiente. Per ora stiamo lavorando ad un primo passo del progetto, concernente l’appropriata conoscenza dei fenomeni energetici e dell’aria e dell’atmosfera terrestre e del clima; in un secondo tempo si cercherà di focalizzare la questione di come agire per non interferire così tanto con l’ambiente.
Osservando dal difuori i Congressi internazionali sullo stato della Terra, da Rio de Janeiro 1992 a Bonn 2017, possiamo osservare le difficoltà di trovare soluzioni ambientali valide per tutti, od almeno condivise… troppi interessi individuali nel Mondo stanno creando lunghe discussioni e pochi risultati decisivi… gli accordi di Parigi nel 2015, certo, ma per ora non così importanti progetti operativi. Così proviamo una via locale, una sorta di esperimento, sperando lo facciano altre persone in altre terre e regioni: supportare con la conoscenza dei fenomeni la volontà delle persone di fare qualcosa di concreto per salvare l’Habitat sulla Terra.
